Segromigno in Monte - Lucca

Vacation home for rent in Tuscany - Sleeps 4+2

Set in the grounds of a seventeenth century estate, the approach to this vacation home is through the remains of the ancient stone gates and along the long, cypress-lined road that once served the Villa where the owners still live. They will be delighted to let you visit the garden of the Villa during your permanence at Il Podere del Bosco.

“Il Podere del Bosco” is the original name for the spot where the house sits, appearing in an early nineteenth century manuscript.

It's located in Segromigno in Monte, town famous for antique Villas, historical country residences, that noble Lucchesi families built between the 15th and the 19th centuries. Some of these historic houses are open to the public and a few have internationally renowned gardens.

The house is surrounded by a sunny and well-kept garden with fragrant plants, lime-trees, hibiscus, roses and a little rocky garden next to the veranda. The spacious garden is provided with furniture for sunbathing (an umbrella and deckchairs); it's also present a barbecue near the veranda.

The hills around are renowned for good olive oil and also for excellent wines. "Il Podere del Bosco" is located near the "Strada del Vino", a panoramic hill road that winds through many of Lucca wine and olive oil estates, passing numerous family-run, traditional Tuscan Restaurants. Many producers welcome visitors to their vineyards, where it usually possible to taste and purchase the typical products including honey, marmalade over than oil and wine of course.

"Il Podere del Bosco" is an ideal holiday spot for families with children who can play safely within the property and for exploring some of Tuscany's most artistically and culturally towns such as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca.

The house includes a spacious private parking spaces for two cars and has air conditioning and heating system.
